Vineyard Worker Health Program (VWHP)
Napa Medical Research Foundation strives to bring wellness to the entire community. Our first community program involves bringing regenerative medicine to those who may not be able to afford it otherwise. Every day, patients suffering from physical pain and disability due to injury or aggravated medical conditions undergo treatments that are often ineffective and invasive or have short-lived outcomes. Thus, the Vineyard Worker Health Program was created.
The demanding nature of the wine industry can lead to pain and repetitive motion injuries of the shoulder, back, hand, elbow, foot and ankle. An untreated injury can develop into a chronic condition and become a huge loss of productivity.
The VWHP provides a unique opportunity for patients to explore non-invasive, regenerative medicine treatment not covered through insurance. The program goal is to get participants back to productivity and wellness effectively and efficiently.

“So many of us have benefitted from Dr. Bodor’s expertise and care over the years. We are so fortunate that he has maintained his office here in Napa. My enthusiastic support of Dr. Bodor and the Foundation goes beyond my gratitude. The VWHP has successfully helped orthopedically impaired workers to return to full productivity, free of charge.
A truly amazing service!”
VWHP SUCCESS STORIES
LIVING LIFE WITH LESS PAIN
“I feel lucky to have discovered that this kind of treatment exists for people because before my doctors said, ‘oh no – there is nothing we can do for you.” Today, Vicente is starting to resume many of the physical activities he used to enjoy before his injury, such as biking and walking. “Now, little by little I have been able to ride my bike and walk more.”
BACK TO MAKING WINE
“I did a lot of reading about PRP to find out more about it, because there are a lot of workers who get injured in the wine industry, but most people are skeptical of this type of procedure – there are misunderstandings about what PRP actually is." Margarito says he wouldn’t hesitate to undergo regenerative treatments if he is ever injured again. “Now I feel great. Even Dr. Bodor’s Fellow that was exercising next to me at the gym was impressed with what I could do. I can do everything I could do before my injury.”
